Spirituality of Árd na Rí
THE EVOLUTION OF THE SPIRITUALITY OF THIS MOST SACRED SITE

ÁRD-NA-RÍ carries on a tradition and evolution of spirituality embodied in the site as far back as 1341B.C., when as recorded in the Annals of Clonmacnoise, written by the monks in 1408A.D. Princess Scota sailed up the Shannon River and as QUEEN of the Milesians, set up her throne at Royal Uisneach. Her burial at Temple Dulaing, Clonmacnoise thus began the tradition for future burial of Gaelic Royalty at Clonmacnoise.

Scota was sovereign heiress to five Pharaohs, Tutankhamun her uncle, Aaron her father, Akhenaten her maternal grandfather, Aye her paternal grandfather, and her uncle Horemheb. The Sacred Feminine sits on the creative throne of consciousness and has wisdom, service, sovereignty, for each, and for all. Scota, the Sophia, holder of the Malchut, for the royal lineage of our High Kings, also holds the Malchut sovereignty of consciousness for each of us on this island of Lemurian Consciousness. Another sovereign princess whom Tara is called after, namely Teamar or Tia or Tara, daughter of king Hezekiah, arrived here in 586B.C.

Tara heiress of the Holy Grail Lineage, of consciousness itself, was accompanied by the Prophet Jeremiah. They brought The Stone of Consciousness with them. This Stone of Consciousness symbolised the Malchut. Only the queen could be the holder of the Malchut. The holder of the Malchut held sovereign consciousness for the king, thus enabling the king to hold sovereignty for the people, not just for the land. Tara held the Malchut for the High King of Tara. Thereafter the stone of Consciousness was the holder of the Malchut for the High Kings of Ireland and Dal Riada. Since the arrival of Princess Scota in 1341B.C. Ireland has been the holder of the Malchut, the holder of sovereign consciousness for the planet. Arthur was anointed king of Dal Riada by Colmcille. Brigid had her spiritual initiation at Royal Uisneach. The Great Charlemange, when he built the world famous 9th. Century University at Pisa, he sent it’s Rector Alcuin to the University of Clonmacnoise to complete his studies under the guidance of the abbot Colman.

Thomas Aquinas was educated by an Irish monk and the spirituality of Francis of Assisi and Hildegard De Beigen have strong Celtic roots. Pope John Paul 2, by his own inherent wisdom, came on a personal unscheduled pilgrimage to Clonmacnoise in 1979, which was the inspiration for his long and successful pontificate. The Evolution of the Spirituality of ÁRD-NA-RÍ is as a centre that resonates with the Unique Divinity of the individual, calling each one of us to find the truth within ourselves and to live that truth.
